What you need
Online only works with the hidden security codes. Older papers don't have them; we check this in the first question.
- Registration certificate (Fahrzeugschein) from 20157-character code under the cover, for deregistration and re-registration
- Seal stickers (Plaketten) on the number plates3 characters each, on cars front and rear
- Vehicle title (Fahrzeugbrief) from 201812 characters under the silver foil, for registration and re-registration
- eVB number (electronic insurance confirmation)from your insurer, for registration and re-registration

Is ZS24 a public authority?
No. ZS24 is a private service of doubleudot UG. We submit your process on your behalf to the responsible registration office.
Which processes does ZS24 offer?
Deregistration, re-registration after a purchase or move, re-registration of a deregistered vehicle and first registration. If you reserved a personalised number plate yourself at the registration office, you enter it with its PIN during the process.
Do I need the online ID function?
No. For re-registration and registration you confirm your identity by phone after paying, via a link from us: a real-time ID check, like Post-Ident. Have your ID card or passport ready. For deregistration, the security codes are enough.
How much does it cost?
Depending on the process, between 34,95 € and 74,95 €, all inclusive. The registration office fee is already included; there is nothing extra.
Do I get my money back if it doesn't work?
In full if we cannot submit the process, for example because online registration in the district is down. Once the process has been submitted, we no longer refund anything.
How often does a process fail?
Rarely. The most common cause is a mistyped security code, so we check every entry immediately and compare the codes character by character once more before submitting.
My documents are older. Will it still work?
Without security codes, the process is only possible in person. We find this out in the first question, before any costs arise.
