Then it was issued before 2015, and deregistration is only possible in person at the Zulassungsbehörde der Stadt Weimar. We don't accept such orders, and there are no costs.
Can I still drive after uncovering the codes?
No. As soon as a code is visible, the registration certificate (Fahrzeugschein) and seal sticker (Plakette) are invalidated. So only uncover the codes when we ask you to in the last step.
Do I get my money back if it doesn't work?
In full if we cannot submit the application, for example because online registration is disrupted in the district or the details are not accepted as entered. Once the application has been submitted, we no longer refund anything, not even if a detail later turns out to be incorrect.
Deregistering a car in Weimar: the essentials
If you want to deregister your car in Weimar, you no longer have to go to the Zulassungsbehörde der Stadt Weimar. Since 1 January 2015, deregistration can be done digitally via the i-Kfz procedure. This requires the hidden security codes on the registration certificate (Fahrzeugschein) and on the seal stickers (Stempelplaketten) of the number plates.

The order matters just as much. As soon as a code is uncovered, the registration certificate (Fahrzeugschein) and seal sticker (Plakette) are invalidated and the vehicle may no longer be moved. That's why we first check whether your documents are suitable for the digital route, take all the other details and only ask you to uncover the codes at the very end.
